When a tragedy of this magnitude strikes, it’s important to create an opportunity for the community of London to come together to show their collective support. Arts organizers from The Aeolian, Sunfest and Home County Folk Festival are collaborating to program this event. It is also being supported by The Old East Village Community Association, The Old East Village BIA and volunteers connected to the London Arts Community. This will be a ‘pay-what-you-can‘at the door event, with all proceeds going directly to Red Cross Relief efforts in Haiti. Proceeds from CD sales, silent auction items and raffles for tickets to upcoming arts events in London will also be donated. We will be issuing tickets for those who would prefer confirmed seating for a “pay what you can” donation. These are available through the Aeolian Box Office open Monday to Friday, 10 am – 6 pm. Representatives from the Red Cross will speak about how funds raised will make a difference to Haitians affected by this devastating earthquake. All musicians are donating their services. The Aeolian is donating the facility and proceeds from the bar. We are also asking for monetary and silent auction donations in advance of the concert for those who cannot attend. The goal is to raise at least $10 000.
