fri at ovation festival. turn up, it is pitch black, cops are directing traffic with black gloves [bad idea guys], the only available light shoots down from the sky - brief flashes of lightning, and a harvest moon. we are not allowed to take anything into the grounds and it is my first reminder that this is not Reading. toad aka kev has invited us down to the show and homegirl nelly takes the stage, complete with semi-coordinated dancers including wunderFritz. stratford watches in awe, then everyone heads home, resembling a murder of zombies who didn't quite get to bust the move they secretly wanted to, but, maybe next year.

Not really a journal entry as much as an announcement from the producers of a new TV show...........................sounds like fun, hope you'll come down.

On Thursday, September 14th, 2006, The Side Street Project is taping its inaugural live music show in a secret downtown Toronto location.

Entry is free but space is very limited.

to confirm your place.

Details of the location and door time (between 7 pm - 9 pm) will be released on Thursday, September 14th at 10 a.m. via email to you. Show will be finished by 11 pm.

Beer and water will be for sale at the bar before the show and for 45 minutes after the show.

Here are the rules for the taping:

* YOU MUST BE 19 YEARS AND OLDER – ID WILL BE CHECKED
* No small children
* No cameras or recording devices of any type
* No obvious brand names or logos on hats or shirts (please help us out here!)
* Agreement by entering venue to appear in broadcast / please stay home if you
don't want to appear on camera!
