Here I Go Again (On My Own)
So consumed am I by my own correctional institute of paperwork that I missed my own radio show on Saturday night. Hmmm. Tragedy, indeed. I am however quick on the draw on less pertinent matters, such as responding to texts like, "Who sang Eye of The Tiger?", which KR managed to punch out on her cell phone keypad in mid-wedding shower. Happy to help. I am also recording massive hits in my basement. The last effort, which took place last night, is quite simply a 'piano power pop song for tomboys' and is i think very good, in a sort of a Keane meets Under Pressure kind of way.
August 2, 2008

I've written 3 new songs in a week, okay 2 weeks. I have put the pressure on myself to revise 'em but not homogenize 'em. i am diggin' them all, and will write and record one more and that will be that. Maybe I'll see the sun this summer, as I've been spending a lot of time in the basement.
Darryl lent me a nice tube mic so I'll croon into that. Charles Dumont is playing drums from his house in Saskatchewan. The charity of friends makes for excellent rock n roll.
July 31, 2008: Drew Feustel !
Well, some of you know that my 2003 album "Asianblue" contained a song for astronaut Chris Hadfield, called "Christopher" which commemorated his Sarnia-ness but more importantly his first free float into space. Yes, SPACE. As luck would have it, hanging around astronauts leads you to meet MORE RAD ASTRONAUTS. Meet Drew Feustel, Mission Specialist and real live space explorer!
